Climate account 2022

Over the years, Dansk Træemballage A/S (DTE) has maintained a strong focus on sustainability and aspires to take a leading role in the industry within the framework of people, the environment, and economics. DTE adopts a systematic approach to environmental practices and has recently developed Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for a portion of their product portfolio.

Aligned with this commitment, DTE has decided to compile a climate account to support their systematic approach to climate action and investigate which activities contribute the most to carbon impact.

This approach will provide an understanding of the specific activities within DTE that drive climate effects. Subsequently, this knowledge can serve as a basis for identifying the most advantageous initiatives to achieve the greatest possible climate impact.

The climate account is thus an integral part of the company’s commitment to demonstrate responsibility, transparency, and compliance with increasing expectations for documenting the company’s impact on the environment.

DTE Group acquires Industripaller AS in Norway

It is a great pleasure that Dansk Træemballage A/S, DTE, after a short negotiation process, has agreed with the owner of Industripaller AS to take over the ownership of the company.

The DTE Group is the Nordic region’s largest wooden packaging industry and employs approx. 550 employees and has an annual turnover of DKK 1.3 billion. DTE has 6 production sites in Denmark, 4 production sites in Norway, 2 production sites in Sweden and a trading company in Germany.

We hope that all employees of Industripaller will experience the change of ownership positively and will welcome us. The company will continue as an independent company on equal terms with AVEN Holmestrand and Røyrås, and the management will remain unchanged. Together we must take advantage of the opportunities that a large group has, in order to get as much synergy out of the family as possible. With mutual help, we create results, and at the same time, we all want to learn something from each other through the new collaboration.

Regarding exports to the USA

We draw your attention to the fact that US Customs and Border Control as per 01-11-2017 has issued new guidelines for the import of wooden packaging. ISPM CSMS #17-000612. This is attached.

Our wooden packaging is properly treated, as prescribed in the order and also ISPM 15 stamped. Experience shows that the stamp may disappear or become unreadable over time. Missing a stamp can now result in very high fines.

We must therefore encourage you to be particularly aware that pallets and boxes intended for the USA are visibly and correctly stamped on two sides and should this not be the case on new products, we will be happy to correct them at no extra charge. In addition, we assume no responsibility.

US Customs

If you have any questions about this, we are of course available.
