Producer responsibility
Producer responsibility: PPWR enters into force on 12 August 2026
1. Documentation requirements and declaration of conformity
2. Requirement for unambiguous identification
All packaging must be uniquely identifiable by an identification number. DTE uses ISPM15 numbers as identification numbers, as these indicate the production site in DTE. Together with the invoice and delivery note, the numbers can uniquely identify the packaging.
3. Technical documentation
Technical documentation for each type of packaging, including material and component specifications, is provided on request. Packaging drawings and descriptions will be sent if required.
4. Changed location of producer responsibility
In future, producer responsibility will be placed with the company that has the decisive influence on the design of the packaging. DTE therefore only has producer responsibility for EUR pallets, DS 1/2 pallets and pallet collars without label. Since all other packaging is manufactured to the customer’s specification and request, the customer has producer responsibility for these.
If you have any questions about PPWR and what the changes will mean for you, you are welcome to contact your usual contact person at DTE.
